"Sweetie, here's the contract, it's a little complicated, so you should prolly have your husband look it over for ya."
"Actually, I have a law degree, and he doesn't, so I handle the contracts around here."
"Huh, yous don't look like a lawyer?"
"Yes, well, us lawyers leave our horns and pitchforks at the office after 6 pm. Kind of a rule we have."

Ah, the Devil is in the de-tails.... LOL - Have you ever watched "Harry's Law"? It was funnier at the outset, but she takes on some hard issues (well, the scriptwriters do) but there seem to be several 'legal' TV shows to watch this season - you should be writing for them, IMO.
