You sometimes wonder if your values are rubbing off on your kids. Never have I been more proud of Ethan than this afternoon when we passed a man on the street corner holding a sign "Homeless & Hungry."
Ethan gave me the $5 allowance from his pocket and said, "Let's go get some cheeseburgers for that guy. He doesn't look like he likes onions, so make sure you ask for them plain."

Lovely. Just lovely.
(And thank you for your comments -- much appreciated. Must be from you that he gets it.)
WOW above and beyond - I bet soup kitchens don't cater so considerately! ;D
What a sweet and sensitive boy. You are one lucky mom (and he's one lucky kid :)
Wow. That is wonderful. How old is Ethan? I don't think...no, I know my stepdaughter wouldn't have thought to do that. Though she does show compassion on occasion. But what a lovely story. Just a small testament to your parenting skills and love. :)
I wonder what kind of people look like they like onions? :) What a great kid.
Obviously you're doing something right. Congrats on such a sweet kid.
If that doesn't melt your heart. Well done.
Nicely done Ethan. We could learn a lot from you.
