As to brain surgery, of course the sheer prospect is freaking you and your husband out. It is objectively freaky, to all.
But as someone who's been there done that, I can attest this was the best health decision I made (in my situation). I only regret that the tumor was not discovered earlier and that I had to suffer, needlessly, from headaches for so long.
