Never Forget

Today, I am grateful for a warm house during April showers, the perfect cup of coffee (a touch of nutmeg and a splash of cinnamon cream), health insurance (just a sprain), friends from childhood (especially Karen, who has her second baby due any day now), incredible friends from college (too many to name, you know who you are, thank you for being a part of my life since 1993), and the fact that I was lucky enough to be a Hokie for four amazing years (should have changed my major another three times and stayed for an extra one, maybe two).

Virginia Tech, you have my heart, today and always.

Prayers of comfort for families and friends at Virginia Tech and for our nation.

What a day for a cup of coffee! I was at an Autism Awareness Fundraiser, fortunately indoors, which ended smack in the middle of one of the bands of significant lightning.

I wish you well on your EF business this week. (Someone I know in the world of special education gives workshops on EF entitled, "Why is my underwear in the freezer?" from her own personal experience post accident.)

I had nothing to say about the giraffe. I couldn't even think of what sound a giraffe makes... Now that I've googled it, I think I was happier in my ignorance.
