That Prada gauze and all of the Internet threats from friends must have worked their magic. The rogue Left Arm has listened and is now starting to behave like a proper appendage with some manners. The situation has been downgraded from a Category Five to just some plain, old nasty weather. No MRSA. No spreading into other tissues. Now just an "ulcer ... like a bed sore."
You know what I thought when I heard that? Damn, am I sorry that I do not have an eHarmony profile!!! Because if I were online dating right now, I know that would be a big draw. If I had a nickle for every time I heard my single friends lament that there are just not enough young people with seeping open wounds on the market.
I'll have to keep arm wrapped and continue antibiotic #1 for another week, but am off the steroid and antibiotic #2. I have clearance to resume most normal activities, including DRINKING WINE and typing and walking AND DRINKING WINE and carrying things *(No scrubbing toilets or cleaning, I checked). But did I mention the WINE?
I was warned I would probably have some scarring that I may want to follow-up with a plastic surgeon. I think I will pass on that. Optional medical procedures are not on my holiday schedule this year. Besides, I don't think he or she will be able to do anything to erase the mental scarring. That is what the wine is for. Have I mentioned the wine? I might have.

Glad it is getting better. Wine is good. A cure-all for most things. :)
Two things:
1) When? Is tonight too soon to meet up for wine? Tomorrow?
2) And if it scars, just think of the great story you'll have! You'll be just like me (with the funny eyebrow scar). I'll throw this out there, not sure if it will help or not, but once it scabs, we had good results on a scar on C with Mederma.
Hugs. And about that wine? Tonight?
So glad you are sort of on the mend...if it makes you feel better, I'm terribly envious of the wine aspect of your recovery! Your letters to all affected parties cracked me up. Keep taking it easy and left arm might just be jealous of the wine the right arm gets to hold and will get his act together!
